Our mission
We provide a regenerative, health-focused football environment, promoting well-being and quality football for all.
We facilitate walking football for:
Men over 45
Women over 30

We raise funds for Lewes Football Foundation, ensuring football remains accessible and community-driven.
When you play at the club, you sign up to be broadly supportive of this approach to community football.

Membership
We are a constituted community group and not-for-profit, donating 15% of our cash reserves to charity each year.
What you need to play
New members receive a full yellow and black kit for Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays as a one-off.
You must bring both yellow and black tops to play in, and appropriate 3G footwear (no metal studs, or blades, or flat trainers).

Membership perks
Kit – New members receive a full yellow and black kit for Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays as a one-off.
Lewes FC tickets – members can attend Lewes FC Men's and Women's matches (up to 10 tickets per game on a first come-first served basis).
Social and supportive community – members gain access to several WhatsApp groups that foster friendship, networking, and social connection:
treatment table – connects players with our club physios for occasional clinics and discounted appointments.
vetworking – a professional networking group within the club.
ultras – Our Lewes FC supporters group for those who love cheering on the team.
We also run social events regularly - both official and unofficial. Most Sundays and Mondays, some of the group head to the pub for post-football drinks.
Plus - when numbers permit, access to Vets running football - at no extra cost!
Playing in the Old Quality League and tournaments
Members can also participate in the Old Quality League at no extra cost, where we field two teams from our membership alongside external teams.
These games feature a poem about friendship and a strict no contact rule.
The league is run with a ‘don’t be a d**k’ philosophy - promoting fairness, inclusivity and compassion.
There’s also no extra cost to members for playing in tournaments, the club covers those fees.
Subsidised foreign tours
Members get access to a subsidised annual tour, with past trips for the Vets including: Blois, Waldshut-Tiengen, Amsterdam, Bruges and Hebdon Bridge.
Our walking footballers aim to have their inaugural tour in 2026.
